Cast Iron Teapot — Handcrafted Tetsubin Gongfu Kettle 800ml
Some teapots are made. This one is crafted. Rooted in the water kettles of China's Tang and Song Dynasties and refined through Japanese Meiji-era tradition, this southern-style tetsubin takes over 20 days to complete — from hand-carving and molding to spout shaping and final finishing. No two pieces are identical. The body is carved with auspicious swastika totems and Zen-inspired patterns, giving each teapot an ancient, dignified presence that deepens with every brew.
Why You'll Love It
- 20+ days handcrafted — individually made by senior artisans; slight variations in color and texture make each piece one-of-a-kind
- Auspicious totem carvings — swastika and Zen patterns symbolize harmony, tradition, and good fortune
- Superior heat retention — cast iron maintains stable brewing temperature for deeper tea extraction
- Health-enhancing iron release — long-term use releases trace iron, softens water, and enhances tea aroma and flavor
- Smooth curved spout — carefully designed curvature ensures steady flow and clean water cut-off
- Includes stainless steel strainer — removable, easy to clean, keeps loose leaves out of your cup
First Use Instructions
Boil with Pu'er tea for 5–6 minutes, then rinse by boiling mineral or tap water 6–7 times until clear. If Pu'er tea is unavailable, boil with water 2–3 times for 15–20 minutes each.
