Puerh Tea Cake | Yunnan Ripe Pu-erh Fermented Tea 357g
Puerh Tea Cake — Yunnan Ripe Pu-erh Fermented Tea
Sourced from high-mountain tea plantations in Yunnan province, this ripe Puerh tea cake is crafted using traditional two-leaves-and-a-bud harvesting. After natural withering and full oxidation — which imparts a strong, robust character — the leaves undergo a meticulous 28-day pile fermentation process, developing the signature earthy, elemental depth that defines premium shou Puerh.
The fermented leaves are steamed to become soft and pliable, then pressed under pressure into a classic 357g tea cake. The cake is rack-dried for 5–7 days at 45°C, allowing internal moisture to continue fermenting and adding further body and complexity to the already distinctive character. A living tea that deepens with age.
Production Process
1. Harvest: Two leaves and a bud from Yunnan high-mountain gardens.
2. Withering & Oxidation: Full oxidation for robust, bold character.
3. Drying & Sorting: Dried and hand-sorted for quality consistency.
4. Pile Fermentation (Wo Dui): 28+ days under gunny sacks with controlled moisture — develops earthy, elemental depth.
5. Steaming & Pressing: Steamed soft, then pressed into 357g cake form.
6. Rack Drying: 5–7 days at 45°C to stabilize and mature the cake.
